The tool has a large number of options, which allows the trainer to create a training plan that enables the operator to better understand the behaviour of the process. CKS also includes a series of predefined lessons that cover normal situations in a cement plant. Lessons can include targets related to improvement of production, use of alternative fuels, etc.

Others lessons include some malfunctions related to the process. That means that the operator has to deal with them in order to keep the kiln stability. Example of such malfunctions are:

• False air in different parts of the process
• Material built-up in cyclones and raise duct
• Cyclone blockages
• Ring formation in the kiln
• Ring fall in the kiln
• Kiln feed quality variations
• Fuels fluctuations
• Etc.

Furthermore, the operator and coach can see the evaluation result of the lesson at any time during the simulation.
