I had the opportunity to use and evaluate the CKS Consulting Kiln Simulator during the TkIS operation training of the new cement plant installed for ECEBOL, in Oruro Bolivia.
This tool I have been very useful, since it has allowed to consolidate the theoretical knowledge and at the same time to develop skills of ECEBOL CCRs for the future start-up.
It is worth highlighting the highly realistic that is this tool and how useful have been the basic lessons of driving that has incorporated, making it extremely educational and friendly for the trainees. As indicated during the course, this instance of simulation, allows the unification of criteria.
As the plant is a completely new installation, there is no statistical information neither the kiln nor the raw meal, the tool was adapted, for the ECEBOL plant from design data provided by TkIS. CKS Consulting commitment has been that, once available a statistic, to suit the Simulator to such information so that the response is completely similar to the installation.
The training process and the response obtained from the plant in the use of the simulator of CKS has been, in my opinion, highly positive, so I recommend this type of tool to align the parts responsible for the management of the, especially for new facilities such as the ECEBOL.
Roberto Fernández, Cement Process Senior Consultant and Project Manager, Córdoba Argentina

The CKS simulator is a great training tool, which is helping us to consolidate and align the knowledge of the shift managers and experienced room operators, and for the training of new control operators and the rest of the plant personnel, it helps us to acquire the basic theoretical / practical knowledge of kiln operation, all focused on aligning and standardizing the kiln operation strategy.
One of the main advantages of the CKS simulator is that, thanks to its flexibility, it can be configured and adapted to the plant process, which makes it more representative of the real operation and facilitates the assimilation of concepts by the participants and the evaluation of real situations of our process.
From the training process that is being carried out in the Gador plant, the feedback of the participants is of great satisfaction and benefit from it. We certainly consider the CKS simulator as a highly recommended training tool to align, train and evaluate the kiln operation, with the ultimate goal of obtaining a more stable operation with a lower deviation in clinker quality.

The CKS Simulator is a great off-line learning tool. We have just used the Simulator to do some basic training with a new control room operator and a Shift manager, What the simulator allows you to do as a Coach is to allow the trainees to be hands on and learn the principals of Kiln burning without the danger of doing damage.
I am a firm believer having used simulators as a training tool over the past 10 years that it also reduces mistakes make when an operator goes live on the panel.
The difference I have found with the CKS version is that it is tailored to how our Kiln reacts so making for a better all round experience. The ability to save situations is very useful to allow a trainee to experience various scenarios that the coach has developed. Also when a trainee has a problem its useful to save the simulation to review the trainees actions to find the reasons.
The ability to have the simulator customized to your own plant is excellent and to have very good back up  from the company.
Mark Ollier, Production Operation Coach, Cauldon Plant, UK, Lafarge

CKS Simulator, is a very good tool for the development, evaluation and training of operators in central control room, which helps us to consolidate the acquired theoretical concepts of operation.
Is noteworthy the possibility of having a simulator developed at measure, make a training in your own installation is a crucial point in his favor. On the other hand, it includes a powerful tool, the theoretical training which covers basic and essential concepts of operation.
We could summarize CKS as the tool that allows us to train and develop control room operators, as well as to measure the operating performance of them.

Serafín Sánchez Berrocal, Process Engineer, Carboneras Plant, Spain, LafargeHolcim

I have had the opportunity of working with “CKS Simulator”, I believe it has important advantages compared to others that I have used: it is not standard, it is the first that I had been see that adapts fully to the conditions of operation of the plant.
This is a critical feature, because the operator would be operating your own kiln. In addition, when you train a future operator, it is doing under the same conditions he will have. It has an expert system that show the operator how react that system. It also includes a full specific course on kiln operation.
Finally, it contains an evaluation system that allows a very good follow-up on the knowledge gained by the new operators and check the level of the most experienced operators.
The directly interaction of CKS Consulting is something that generates added value and a great differentiation, this allows to be able to make modifications and/or adaptations, looking for a 100% approaching of the actual plant conditions.

Adrián Adelmo Belli, Plant Manager, Nobsa Plant, Colombia, Holcim Colombia

It is a useful tool to instruct new operators in a practical way and so they become familiar with critical signals from the system, lets analyze the reaction of the kiln with the changes carried out to operate the Simulator prior to do it in real time.
